Tsukishima is an old-style tourist town mainly known for their Monja. For the uninitiated, Monja is a strange type of food popular only in Tokyo. Tourists from other places in Japan frequently go to Tsukishima to try it. For the less adventurous, Tsukishima also has more traditional food like Okonomiyaki. (Which is something like a Pizza crossed with a Pancake). Tsukishima is also near the river and has traditional-style boats you can ride while you eat and drink the night away. I highly recommend everyone try this at least once. |
